The side effect of Lamictal (is nausea and double vision. The side effect of nausea and double vision is staying in bed all day. The side effect of staying in bed all day is daydreaming. The side effect of daydreaming is setting impossible standards. The side effect of impossible standards is self-sabotage. The side effect of self-sabotage is loneliness. The side effect of loneliness is you need to get out more and a push. The side effect of a push is falling into a stranger’s bed. The side effect of a stranger’s bed is Plan B. The side effect of Plan B is a dream deferred. The side effect of a deferred dream is insomnia. The side effect of insomnia is telling your new therapist about your insomnia and her handing you a box of unmarked sleeping pills. The side effect of sleeping pills is talking to ghosts. The side effect of talking to ghosts is trying to fly. The side effect of trying to fly is vertigo. The side effect of vertigo is cursing the earth for being still. The side effect of stillness in a cursed land is residual pain. The side effect of residual pain is arthritis. The side effect of arthritis is leaving your body behind. The side effect of leaving your body anywhere is still being where your body is. The side effect of still being in your body is mortality. The side effect of mortality is religion. The side effect of religion is a mother’s prayer. The side effect of a mother’s prayer is nothing in particular. The side effect of nothing) is a poem.
